OK I have a name, now
what?
Once registered, the fun
begins. You must now find a home for the name. That means you must find a
computer physically connected to the Internet where you can upload your
content. You can either pay someone who has a computer already, (web hosting
company) or use a machine in your home. Important; only go this route if the
site is not likely to attract many visitors. Most residential Internet Service
Providers (ISP’s) do not allow heavy traffic on their networks and will penalize
you if they suspect you are hosting a website in your home. Check your ISP’s
terms of service if in doubt. If you plan to host a site in your home using a
DSL connection check out this link –

If you are going to choose a vendor read on. To start out, choose your platform
(read operating system).
